Progress

Today I started by redoing some of the connections from yesterday of the battery bank.  I also put on some stabilizers.  I built a 3 channel 6/6/6 gauge wiring harness to carry power from port to starboard and drilled the holes and put it in.  A new fuse panel on the starboard side on our wall of panels hosts connections for the fridge, a power outlet and a distribution box.  The distribution box is located in the bathroom and can distribute to any switched low-watt DC stuff.  Currently it is connected to two new vents (removed our vent stacks and put on some nice powered vent caps).  All in all, a very productive day.

Bus Progress / Todo

Here is a description of everything that would be nice to do before we leave.  These things might not all get done before we leave, but understand that we are currently in a position to do great woodworking (planers / table saws / lumber yards) and great metal working (fabrication / welders) so there is a push to do that before we leave, but if we get too excited to leave, we can/will drop things from this list.  "There is no guarantee that we will stay until this is all finished."  Along the same lines, there will be things that we need to do that we just forgot about which may be added to the list.

I've broken the list first into area of the bus (or major theme), then secondly into project, then thirdly into steps.  I break out the steps more in the beginning but then less near the end to try to save space / repetition.

Just a quick update

Just wanted to give you a quick update....

We finished our final coat of wax on our floors today, and so far they are looking really good. We found quite few loose hairs stuck to the first coat, which was not only a little gross, but also a pain. I think I might write the company and tell them to put hair-nets as a requirement on the can.  They probably don't have too many dirty hippies using their product though, so it's probably a wash.

Today we also went up to Rutland and got our bus registered and signed up for a new license.  I really thought it'd be more difficult than this, because we had to have a constable or state police officer sign off on it. Lucikly, our friend and my sister's employee Lindsey's dad is a state trooper, and he stopped by yesterday after work to help us with the paper work.  Hooray! New plates should be arriving soon.

That's about all for tonight... I'm fighting to keep my eyes open. G'night!
