Maybe we will move to Deutschland afterall. Germany kicks Wal-Mart where it counts.

I hate Wal-Mart, and everything that it stands for. So John and I did quite a bit of jumping up and down and squealing (metaphorically of course) when we read this article tonight.
Take that, big buisness! Eat it!
After searching for a blog on Christmas markets in Germany, I stumbled onto your pages. You have a gift in your writing, and I could share your joy, frustration, agony and wit as I read through your passages of time in Germany. Thank you for entertaining me even for just a while.....

In the Haslach picture above it's not a sunset, its a sunrise! Our site will continue! We have even MORE adventures to have and more blogs to write! No worries, the site will continue. We've renewed the site for another year. Please keep coming back!
So what exactly makes these 85 stores better to you now that they're owned by an enormous German-specific retail conglomerate? I don't think Germany's "cutthroat retail market" is really anything to celebrate about if 85 Wal-Marts are being folded into a retailer that already owns 550 hypermarkets and supermarkets. In fact, that sounds like nothing has changed to me. Is it "everything it stands for" that you hate, or just Wal-Mart itself?

Hey Girl that Loves to Travel
Thanks for finding Joni's site and posting! I am glad to see that "outsiders" find her stuff as entertaining as the "family!"
(We;re a bit biased, if you didn't know.)
TURN THOSE FROWNS UPSIDE DOWN!
