No Internet, what are we do to?

Ranting:
The crazy thing about Europe is that they are not as enamored with the internet as we are back in the good ol' US of A. There are absolutely no cafes with free wireless, or free wireless anywhere really. Right now we are currently sitting in an internet point in Rome, paying 2 € per hour, which is ridiculously cheap compared to most, which are usually around 2€ per 15 minutes.
We have been doing pretty good with keeping up with blogging, and photo editing, but it is relatively difficult to actually post them.

email

I have come to the point where I refuse to check my school email so I don't have to acknowledge group meetings and things of the sort. My ignorance helps me delay the onset of homework and the such. I'd definitely recommend it. I've also grown into ignoring phone calls and voicemails from classmates. I'm sure that my attitude will change on May 7th. Hope you guys are having fun!

How about a map?

Barcelona to Rome then to Austria? Where are you guys? Any way you could put some sort of a map on your site so we can see just where you are and where these places are? Where in the world is Brest?

That is a great idea!

We will see what we can do!

Re: Where in the world is Brest?

Right above the belly button, but below the collar bone ;)

Actually, it's in north-western France, on the coast in a province called Brittany.
Brittany is supposed to be very similar to Ireland, in it's
topography, music, food and friendliness.
Not so with Brest apparently.

The answer is...

Enjoy your trip.

Stop worrying about your site and the people who are living vicariously through you! We'll survive without a daily blog. Really, we will. So stop hunting for internet connections around every corner. Get your head out of the computer and look around.

It's for us too

Blogging acts as a personal diary for us. Its fun to keep up, so that we can remember what we did and where we went. More than just general memories.
Although it does take time and effort, and that's why everyone should make comments. ;)
It's also nice being able to sit down for a cup of coffee and relax after touring and traveling day in and day out, and regroup, collect our thoughts and remember where we've been and what we've done.

PS. Did I mention that you all should make more comments? ;)

Okay

As long as you don't feel obligated! You know we are all enjoying living vicariously through you guys. But it wouldn't be fun if you felt tied to your site.

Postings

I checked your site this morning and there wasn't anything new.  About an hour ago I signed on to check on an ebay auction and violia there was all these postings!  then tons of comments.  I was worried that I missed all your comments (on the right hand side) and would be lost without them.  Hopefully they don't shove the older ones off too soon.

spelling

ps. please excuse my spelling on all comments made today. My spelling has deteriorated significantly since living on the continent, and the spellchecker on this computer is only in Italian. I am fairly sure though, that my Italian spelling would be just as bad (if not worse :) )
