The Apple Orchard

Ha! You thought apple orchards were for older couples or family's with kids?! Well we own3d the apple orchard with our new (patent pending) apple orchard strategy for reaking in the best apples, even at the end of the season.

The trick is to get the ones high in the tree that the others weren't able to reach. Sometimes this means taking along your own little apple picker, other times it means coming up with creative strategies for maximum best-apple attainment.

In the Apple Orchard

All in all we had a wonderful time. A beautiful day, nice to get outdoors, and we even finished off our adventure with cider doughnuts. However, between the four of us we only picked one bag's worth of apples, (at a great price) but we still had plenty of apples when we left. Even after making stewed apples, apple crisp (and some for neighboors), apple in caramel, apple salad, apple dumplign, and apple flam kuchen. Oh! What a lot of apples!

How do you like them apples?

What, no apple butter? Also, what are those strange long-sleeved garments you're wearing? It almost seems as if the temperature was below 70 degrees, but I find that difficult to imagine...

Yep

I guess it has been a while since you saw me...yeah, I lost a few pounds. I wouldn't characterize myself as young, but I was certainly happy when that picture was taken. :)

Finally!!!

You know guys, you've been asleep at the wheel for so long, I'd forgotten to even check to see if you were updating! Thank goodness for Jodi! Now that I know that you've been busy with updates, I'll check back in more often!

I'll be stealing some of your pictures next week for photo friday. Hope you don't mind if I just wrap some of this up into my "newsletters".
