Paradoxically Yours

So, today as I was packing I started thinking about what I should do with my fur coats. It seems a pretty inconsistent to be a veggier-than-thou vegetarian and have  more than a few vintage fur coats.

So iI pondered this for a few moments and began to feel a little disheartened when into my head popped an article I'd read the other day.  The article said that there were programs out there where you could donate your furs for goo causes such as donating them to homeless people so that they could stay warm. Then I thought about it some more and realized that in a little less than a month I'm going to be homeless- so I decided to keep my furs in good conscience.

Girlie Stuff- Squeamish boys go play dodgeball or whatever it was you did in 5th grade when this subject came up...

Hey Ladies!

I recently bought my first DivaCup- (http://www.divacup.com/) and I LOVE it! I want to encourage all of you to try it.  Now for many people it sounds really gross- you have to empty it out 2-3 times a day- but really is that any more gross than tampons or pads?  Tampons contain many nasty chemicals and can lead to life-threatening Toxic Shock Syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tampon). Pads are gross for obvious reasons- it's basically an icky diaper-like thing that causes you to have to sit on what your body is producing for hours until you change it. Dumping out the DivaCup is not really that big of a deal- it's easy and not really all that messy.

The DivaCup also eliminates leakage and spotting and allows you to do whatever you want while you have your period. You can swim, swing on a trapeze- do what you normally do!  If you are regular you can insert the cup before you begin your cycle to avoid any accidents- you'll never be caught again without having feminine protection!

DivaCups, MoonCups and Keepers are also much better for the environment. Think of all of the sanitary products you would throw away in your lifetime! Then try to imagine all of the women that you know of  child-bearing age and imagine all of the waste from all of us combined! It's pretty staggering.

These products are also much friendly to the ol' bank account.  For $28 you can have a product that you can use for a long time (I believe I read 1-2 years +) compared to buying pads, tampons and liners for the rest of your life.

Seriously- I would really recommend trying this product. Several of my friends are also using them  and we are all completely hooked!  I feel a lot more in tune with my body as I'm using this product (I even somehow feel more feminine) and I really think that I won't dread getting my period so much as I did before (no leaks, no more inconvenience, what's to dread?)

.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask!
