I'm a stickler for lyrics.

I'm listening to internet radio.
James Taylor (whom I love) just came on singing the song "Up on THE Roof."
But for some reason, he keeps singing, "Up on A Roof." This is quite a difference when
you hear the lyrics...

When this old world starts a getting me down
And people are just too much for me to face

... Up on a Roof.

Doesn't that sound bad? I mean really.
Now don't get me wrong. I love this song.
but a change in lyrics turns the song from being romantic to a little scary,
especially when it's A roof and not THE roof. Just some random
roof out there. ...

Abomination against nature

Today I picked up some sweet potatoes at a Arabian grocery store for dinner. I got them home, washed them and threw 'em in the oven. Upon opening them, I discovered that they were white. White! How can you make sweetpotatoe casserole with marshmallows if the sweetpotatoes are white? It would all just look like one big snowman turd. Really. Don't they know that sweetpotatoes are ORANGE? sigh... Culture shock over sweet potatoes. A record personal low.

On Cooking

Ranting:
I really hate it when people say, "Oh, I don't cook when I don't have anybody to cook for. If it's just me I kinda through something together." What a stupid attitude. Really. With this attitude you spend a good portion of your life EATING CRAPPY FOOD.
I tend to over do it to make up for the people with this attitude. I make sure that I cook and eat whatever the heck I'm in the mood for when I'm alone, just short of making a 6 course meal. Perhaps that's just the princess attitude I grew up with though. Who knows?
