Layin' Low

Today when I woke up (for the first time, I of course went directly back to sleep afterwards) the sky was dark and there was great billowing circles of snow blowing around outside my window. It was truly beautiful. We got about 4 or 5 inches, but most of it melted in the sunshine this afternoon.

We went and spoke to my Professor today, we met for a total of 45 seconds, in which time I found that I had passed my test and that I could write the paper in English. I spent 3 or so hours after that working on my paper before a major headcold began to settle in.

I listened to an old episode (?) of This American Life on my laptop, made spicy spicy cabbage rolls and talked to Aubrey and John. It was a good afternoon.

This evening I went out with a friend of mine for coffee. Samantha and I met at our usual spot, the Uni Cafe and had the usual musli and youghurt with fresh fruit before heading out to do some window shopping. Then we both decided not to go home and found a really cute little bistro that I've passed probably 100 times and never seen. We talked and talked and had a really wonderful time.
Then I came home, finished listening to the segment of TAL that I was listening to, talked to my sisters Juli and Jaci, played web sudoku and now I'm getting ready for BED. It's been a LONG day!

Lessoned Learned

Ranting:
You don't pull on Superman's cape, you don't spit in to the wind,
you don't pull the mask off of old Lone Ranger, and you certainly
don't wear sandals (even with wool socks) no coat and bike into town
when it's freaking freezing out. You know why? You become sick. And not
only sick, but sick and cranky.
