Freakishly Happy

Christmas is on the way! It is my family's traditions to break out the Christmas music, as soon after Thanksgiving as possible. In the spirit of this tradition, we listened to Mannheim Steamroller Christmas and Dean Martin today. I am, however, in violation of my family's traditions, because I REFUSE to listen to Johnny Mathis Christmas albums. Although several members of my family will contend that nobody sings Christmas like Johnny, I just can't bring myself to do it. I have this weird love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with him. Its sort of like the skiing Santa Claus that we had when I was a child. The dumb thing terrified me, and I screamed whenever it was turned on, and yet I was kind of sad when it "accidently" skiied off the mantel. This is how I feel about Johnny Mathis. Although I can't stand the guy, I still miss him because without him and the skiing Santa, it's not TRULY Christmas. I hope that you are all getting into the Holiday Spirit as well!
